Professional members that are currently on the Board of Directors “Approved” list do not need to seek approval on a yearly basis. Your approved status moves forward with each skating season upon receipt of required annual documents and a “green light” document from USFSA.
Professional members that are not on the current Board of Directors “Approved” list must submit the following information in addition to a current PSA card, Liability Insurance documentation and a copy of the USFS background check.
A resume that includes the following information:
1) Personal skating accomplishments:
a) Applicant’s history of tests passed.
b) Applicant’s history of coaches they have studied with.
c) Applicant’s competitive history
2) Personal coaching accomplishments:
a) Student’s testing accomplishments
b) Student’s competitive accomplishments
c) Professional certifications and continuing education
When an application is received from a non-approved professional with all required documents, the application will be reviewed by the Board of Directors at the next scheduled board meeting. The applicant will be advised of their decision immediately following that meeting.
When an application is received from a non-approved professional without a current resume, the application will be returned to the applicant without the consideration of the Board of Directors.
